With only a few hours left in the year, I thought it was a good time to glance back and raise a pint to the future. It is hard to believe that this time last year Mother Earth Brewing was just a well planned dream floating in our heads. Stephen and I had secured an excellent (yet needy) building, hired Josh as our Head Brewer, and we were working on finding cool names for our four staple beers. Now, just 365 days later, I'm stopping by Fresh Market for some groceries and checking the beer display to be sure our beer is well stocked. I spend my days coordinating a range of beer deliveries- from Raleigh to Wilmington, kegs, 6pks, and cases. Ordering a re-supply of T shirts and picking out fixtures for the soon-to-be-opened Tap Room. Josh is pumping out batch after batch of successful brews, sounds of the bottling machine echo throughout the brewery, and we've added more help to the Mother Earth Brewing Team (more to come on those important guys in an upcoming blog.) We're almost ready to reveal our first Seasonal, and unveil the much anticipated Tap Room. No doubt; we've embarked on a wild, wild ride. We look forward to a year of education and growth, and spreading our passion for outstanding beer far and wide.
Remember: Every time you drink a Mother Earth Beer you're supporting small business, you're supporting craft beer, and you're supporting eastern North Carolina. We all can't thank you enough.
A special thanks to everyone "behind the scenes" that helped make this "well planned dream" a reality we enjoy living in each day.
