We Grabbed 3 Medals at the US Open Beer Championship

Posted

As if celebrating our country’s independence wasn’t enough reason for an all around sweet day, I just got word that Mother Earth Brewing won three medals at the 2011 United States Open Beer Championships. As always, the competition is tough at the US Open Beer Championships. This year, over 1200 beers in more than 50 different categories were submitted. Over 20 international beers participated too. Cheers to the guys and girl on the Mother Earth Brewing team- you made it all happen.

Here’s how it all went down:

GOLD MEDAL: Bourbon Barrel Aged Tripel Overhead. Category: “Wood/Barrel Aged Strong Ale”
SILVER MEDAL: Endless River Kolsch Style Ale. Category: “German Kolsch”
SILVER MEDAL: Sisters of the Moon India Pale Ale. Category: “American IPA”

If you aren’t familiar with the US Open Beer Championships, here’s some info from the official website: The US Open Beer Championship is the only brewery competition to include professional breweries and award-winning home brewers. This competition is significant because it accepts entries from breweries around the world and allows national winning homebrews to compete.

While you’re celebrating our country’s big day, toast to all the amazing craft beers made in the USA.

Peace, Love and Beer… Trent
