Mother Earth Brewing Captures Three Medals at US Beer Championships
Over the 4th of July holiday weekend, Mother Earth Brewing participated in the highly regarded US Beer Championships. Over 700 beers in 50 different categories were submitted to the competition. Gold, silver and bronze medals were offered in each category. Mother Earth honorably captured three medals.
Dow Scoggins, director of the U.S. Open Beer Championships said “More than 700 beers were submitted, and although all the top 10 winning breweries were based in the U.S. this year, at least 20 international breweries representing Canada, Belgium, Germany, England and Brazil also medaled.”
Mother Earth Brewing was recognized for their superior products. In fact, they won a Gold medal in the German Kolsch category for their Endless River Kolsch and a Gold medal in the Dunkel category for their Dark Cloud Munich-Style Dunkel. Mother Earth Brewing’s Sisters of the Moon captured a Bronze in the IPA category.
President of Mother Earth Brewing, Trent Mooring offered his thoughts about the triumph “A few months ago, we won a Gold medal for both our Kolsch and our Dunkel at the highly competitive Carolina Championship of Beers – to have our beers win Gold again at the US Beer Championship is really helping to get us recognized on a national, and even international level… which is just great for Eastern NC.”
Mother Earth Brewery is a 20 barrel craft brewery that bottles and kegs beer for sale in its Kinston, NC Taproom, and for distribution in bars, restaurants and retail locations throughout North Carolina.
