Job Title: Mother Earth Brewing Tap Room and Trading Post Manager
Reports To: CEO, President, Director of Sales
Scope: Mother Earth Brewing Tap Room and Mother Earth Brewing Trading Post
Job Purpose
The primary purpose of this position is to build upon the local patronage established as well as contribute to a higher volume of first time guests, improve overall guest experience, continue to increase the growing sales trends in the Tap Room and Trading Post as a whole, and be an outstanding example of the Mother Earth brand from the home base of Kinston, North Carolina.
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain a clean and inviting environment in the Tap Room and Trading Post by either executing themselves or by managing team members in their responsibilities
Clean and maintain beer lines in the Tap Room as well as at outside accounts (includes cleaning lines before a new beer is put on)
Maintain or delegate maintenance of adequate inventory stock levels in the Tap Room and Trading Post coolers, Trading Post merchandise shelves, while keeping an accurate record of inventory on the appropriate sheets.
Timely submissions of Tap Room and Trading Post inventory to the MEB Controller, and monitor monthly inventory of merchandise
Work with the Director of Sales to plan, organize, and execute beer releases and events
Conduct off-premise store visits to rotate packaged product as well as take orders for future delivery
Maintain working relationships with accounts in order to further off-premise sales i.e. weekly emails to conduct orders
Work with employees to create schedules for the Trading Post and Tap Room
Schedule employee meetings to ensure maintenance of focus
Work towards creating and/or maintaining an appropriate level of craft beer knowledge to be able to represent the Mother Earth Brewing brand professionally
Create tip sheets for employees, approve hours, and submit both to payroll every two weeks
Work with currency in a responsible and accountable manner
Ensure timely responses to customers when answering the Tap Room main phone line
Assist in creating free flowing communication between all MEB departments
Research the ever-changing brewery industry for trends to maintain knowledge for bar guests
Ability to do tours on a “as needed” basis
Notify the proper supply chain managers when items needed restocked (growlers, sink cleaners, soap for bathrooms, etc)
Monitor the fulfillment and shipment of Mother Earth Brewing online store orders
Manage UPS shipping functions for all of Mother Earth’s Brewing Operations
Monitor the daily activities of the Trading Post and Tap Room
Maintain awareness of events in the local area to assure appropriate staffing
Monitor customer reviews and intervene with staff when necessary
Qualifications
High school diploma/equivalent or higher / must be at least 21 years of age
Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
Strong public speaking skills; comfortable speaking to large groups
Time management and multitasking skills
Flexible work availability
Strong independence and critical thinking work skills
Comfortable managing a team environment and coordinating with multiple departments
Numerically literate, comfortable working with numbers, comfortable opening and closing a business by oneself

Physical Requirements
Ability to:
1. Lift or move up to 160 lbs.
2. Stand and/or walk for sustained periods of time
3. Bend at the knees and waist, kneel, crouch, reach in all directions (including overhead)
4. Maintain balance
5. Effectively project voice to audience of up to 30 people without assistance
